POEM: Inward

[This is an idea for a piece that I had but the enthusiasm to complete it has abandoned me. It's kind of a blend of poetry and visual art, or at least that was original idea.]

Inward
-----------
From the surface of sensation I sink deeper into myself.
From the surface of what I think I am I think I am floating backwards in and deeper--

And deeper=========
Deeper------------------Some few restless thoughts--
Deeper------------------Even more thoughts appear--
Deeper------------------A cavern of emotion--
Deeper------------------A whole lot of thought--
Deeper------------------An endless maelstrom of thought--
Deeper------------------So much thought--

The concentration gets deeper and...
Deeper------------------A mask of identity and habit--
Deeper------------------So much thought--
Deeper------------------The surface sounds are ending--
Deeper------------------So much thought--
Deeper------------------There’s still so much thought--
Deeper------------------A little peace and f@$king quiet--so it is thought--
Deeper------------------Stranded echoes of thought--

The concentration gets deeper and...
Deeper------------------Symbolic transference--
Deeper------------------The sirens of bliss--
Deeper------------------An abandoned city of lower mind; the remnants of a time gone by--
Deeper------------------A few stray thoughts--
Deeper------------------The bliss has been conquered and passed--
Deeper------------------One or two stray remnants of thought--

The concentration gets deeper and...
...And find...the treasure?
Who....what....wha.... finds...?

The concentration gets deeper and...
Deeper------------------Perfect calm--

The concentration gets deeper and...
Deeper------------------Resigned to awaiting--
